Looks like this board was opened just in time for me! Seriously, I need some help...
I was on the way home from work, running about 65 and the truck made a clunking sound (almost like a muffled backfire, but could feel it in the floorboard). I lost power for a second and then everything was fine again. Stopped at the next gas station and emptied the water seperator. Thought maybe I had some water in the fuel. Started back down the road and noticed that occationally rattle sound when I had my foot into it. It also seemed to be more difficult to put into gear (from a stop). Then I noticed when I put it into 1st gear it would pop out of gear when I let off the go pedal. It doesn't come out of gear while you are accelerating, only when you let off.
I am bummed!
Sounds like pilot bearing, or input shaft bearing issues.
Has anybody else seen this?
BTW, I have 57K on it now.
Thanks in advance,
WOT
