CAT power up??

VW Jetta TDI - Towing!?

Just remember, with enough money you could probably give anything 600hp. They will probably do it. They have made a pretty good mark on the stock diesel pickup market, but I don't think ever have to worry about them taking over the modified diesel competition.

some titanium conrods would shave a good bit of weight. and ceramic coating a lightened set of pistons and the combustion chamber would help in the heat department...

Like has been said, with enough $$$, anything is possible. :D

I just noticed on that page it's says the Duramax has been #1 in stock performance for the past 2 years? Have any of you ever seen one stock on a dyno? Well I have! And the don't put out anywhere near what they claim. I think it was something like 226hp and 429ft. lbs. A new 24 valve will dyno stock real close to the claimed numbers they advertise. Maybe the one I saw was a dud, I don't know. Someone clue me in here if those things are really as good as they claim.

yep... how 'bout a custom all aluminum block with steel dry liners. good bit of weight savings there... and twins..... lower compression [say ±14. 5:1] yeah, there a good way to spend 5 digits of coin:rolleyes:

i saw one (dumpamax) dyno stock at 255. my 99 stock dyno at 189:mad: that is ok i have fixed that problem 03 on its way. ez chip waiting 310hp w/ ez at the wheels  after warranty dd2's and comp look out grandpa in his dumpamax and granny in her power choke. :D

I don't see any dyno sheets. All I see is his vague modifications. Is he even talking rwhp? I think it is a bunch of horsecrap. And I am sorry that is one ugly chevy!!! Why not keep it in the pre-avalanche hd? Track times will tell what he has got though. I guess we will have to wait but till then... horsecrap!!!!

Vaughn knows what Im saying! What do they claim!?? 300hp? They dyno 240-250. What does Dodge claim for the cummins? 245, and they dyno... 245!!!!

I e-mailed the guy and this was his reply:

Hi Rick,

No, we haven't dyno'ed it yet. GM Powertrain's Pikes Peak Duramax produced

600 horsepower - on #2 diesel. Bully Dog is reported to have dyno'ed a

Duramax at over 700 hp, and expects to eventually reach 800. I'm sure

they'll be using all the gadgets plus propane and nitrous (as will we).

We'll do whatever it takes to achieve the 1/4-mile performance goals we're

looking for.

Jim

What do yall think of this?
