I figured that I would have the 67A recall done as it has been stated that it seems to be less EGR and slightly more DEF usage, which would help with the exhaust back through the intake!
I had it done on 25 Jul 24 with 179459 on the clock, it lasted till 15 Aug 24 with 179823 on the clock!
I had CEL and countdown to LIMP on the way home from an appointment. Got home and found P207F - P20EE and P2560 due to sticking float in coolant bottle. (P2560 has been going on for almost a year, no worries with this one till I get chance to pull bottle and clean)
Dropped at the dealer on the afternoon of the 15 Aug 24.
Dealer findings:
Cause - CEL , COUNTDOWN TO LIMP MODE, CODES SET P207F P20EE and P2560 (Last ignored)
PER DIAG O207F REPLACED DOWNSTREAM NOX SENSOR, PER P20EE REPLACE SCR CATALYTIC CONVERTOR.
Parts involved; 68065844AB - 68292411AA - 52122212AA - 68085740AB
All of this was covered under the "new" extended warranty, but, the SCR didn't arrive at the dealer til 19 Sep 24! This was better then the first date of 4 Oct 24 and then 30 Sep 24!
The day after they found what out what was needed, I started a STAR case with RAM Cares. Multiple calls with little contact with "case manager", VM's left and supervisors talked with, being a PIA to them may have gotten the part faster since they seemed to no care about the fact they created this issue with the 67A by stating that parts may fail and they'll cover them!
The jury is still out as I haven't had the chance to put some good seat time in with the 67A, let alone the new parts for consensus. If you don't need to have the 67A done, you may want to wait to make sure your dealer can get parts in a timely manner to avoid my pitfall! Hopefully, I'll notice some improvement as I can get some get time behind the wheel. Fingers crossed that more gremlins don't crop up!!!!!!!!
