Any known issues with driving 2017 2500 in tow haul mode for daily driving with the exhaust brake active (non-interstate) on rolling hills? When I drive on our back roads I find the transmission is always trying to run in a higher gear than it should for the up and down hills I run. I have locked out 6th gear but run into the same problem. I have noticed when in tow haul mode (exhaust brake active and not towing) the transmission is more responsive and I get more use out of the exhaust brake.

I drive by the tac and the posted speed limit on the road. I tend to lock out 5 and 6th gear all of the time when driving in the city/town area. I will let the engine run between 1,500 and 2,000 RPM"S before un-locking 5 and or 6th gear. When towing and I am in the mountains I will usually have 6th gear locked out watching my Boost pressure and EGT's. The truck just seems to like to be around 1800 RPM's when towing this will provide my best fuel mileage.
When I am in Tow/Haul mode the transmission shifting and exhaust brake are more aggressive. When I am not towing the shifts are hasher in the truck especially down shifting at a stop.
