I think that happens 1 week before the end of the world. Please let me know when she offers you her body so I can run up some credit card debt, (that I won't have time to pay off) :D

I have to admit. . when I saw "7 year deal" I thought of seven year itch. Not for me though. . I made it well past the seven year point without an itch. :D

As bad as the world seems. . I don't think we are that close to the Rapture. There is still a lot of good in the world. . just look at this great bunch on TDR. Of course the Rapture is supposed to be an unexpected event, so maybe it will happen while we are still being good.

one step closer

I am aware that doing good, or evil for that matter does not in itself get you into heaven or keep you out. You can be the worlds worst child murderer and ,if you proclaim Christ as your saviour just before you die, you are in. Problem is, death is usually by accident and/or totally unexpected. This usually eliminates the "bad" from heaven. I feel that people should do the right thing anyway.

Doesn't the Bible say something like, "no man shall know the hour"? I know the Jehovah's Witnesses gave up on predicting Armageddon after several wrong guesses, but they didn't have Britney Spears back then.

One Step Closer

E7mack96, I agree I think people should do the right thing also. I wasn't trying to be critical of your comment but just trying to "clarify". I actually run into alot of people who beleive they are going to heaven/hell based on what they do/don't do.

We have all missed the mark and all need a savior for sure. If we could save ourselves then God wouldn't have needed to send His Son.

Illflem, it does say that. We won't know the hour, but we can know seasons and times. i. e. we can identify the times base upon what prophecy says will happen but as far a an exact day or hour, I don't think so...

The JW's have had and still have alot of "interesting" ideas, Britney Spears or not. :D

Revelation Study

Barry,

I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full, and I am interested in the details of your Revelation study. I assume that it is the Catholic version not Martin Luther's?

We have been going to Community Bible Study for years, which is mostly Protestant. They try to be non-denominational, however every time we are on revelations, we get the rapture and the four horsemen, etc...

Hey Merryman, this is for you

You see, even your attitude was foretold.

2Pe 3:4

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

IN HUMOR:

Scientists and Theologians have searched and studied the Scriptures for years trying to determine the exact time of the Rapture. They have decided it will occur between 2:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon.

What they have not yet been able to figure out is what day and what time zone.

But somewhere in this old world, it will be between 2:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon.

I can't know what's going to happen, I'm only human. But I do believe strongly that all is not as it appears.

The Bible states that "no man knows the day or the hour" of our Savior's appearing. It(the Bible) also states that "Every eye shall see Him". I think I will stick with the Book!

Barry, I tried to e-mail you

Champagne Flight: Good idea! John the Revalator said the "he that says he loves Him (Jesus) and keeps not His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him". Those are stout words. But, bear in mind there is NO salvation in the commandments! I do not keep the commandments because I want to be saved. I keep the commandments because I AM saved!!!!!!

Too sure

I follow the ten comandments, carry a rabbits foot, have a St Christopher around my neck, a star of David in my pocket, and a twelve step book in my car. I have been saved, had comunion, been confirmed, baptised, and blessed by Laraua Moon. You can't be too careful in todays times, but, I think I am covered.

Last night the news talked about the Group of Eight, which I believe was what used to be the Group of Seven (G-7) major industrialized countries.

What country is the eighth and do you think this passage from Revelations relevant?

Revelation 17:11

The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.
