whatever... that's about 6000 r's TOPS when it went "rooooom" . . show me PROOF of purchase bubba... IE:photo of Tach when it pegged. . word of mouth doesn't suffice. Piers one time mentioned they will go at 5300-5800 somewhere... 7700??!! is that the weight of your midwestern girlfriend? :-laf It's funny how you east/midwest guys inflate all your numbers "Oh it makes 2000 hp/5000 ft. lbs and revs 7000+ rpm,and I do donuts in the Hardee's parking lot on saturday nights" LOL :-laf jeez. . yeah the fish was "THIS BIG"! :p

I'm kind of curious why your even commenting since this thread is about truck pulling and I see you live in CA.

no offense BBD! :D

Dintchah read the last Diesel Power Mag? Sled Pulling was invented in California, with Bryan Ks PSD setting the bar!!!!! :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf Oo. :{ :p

...

BBD: heck even the maroon beast doesn't turn even 5000 rpm. . you do just fine between 4000-4500 right?

moremph:I have no desire to even come close,Cummins did not build their engines to take that high of rpm. . after playing with fire and being burnt,I drive a relatively stock truck now. In the response to all my midwest chums. . Carlos Mencia said it best "DEE DEE DEE!" LOL :-laf

Sleddy:Your right. . in fact him and Adam Sprague had set the bar in 2000-01 out west! glad you listened to your history lesson :p

Come out of the closset loser and quit giving the West Coast a bad name. I am over 5K and if Gene was in a good mood he might even say so after the MM 10' hook. Gene made it to more pulls on the West Coast this year then you did.

Disclaimer: I am by no means taking Genes side or trying to be his friend :D

This post is one that has followed many from west coast "arm chair puller's" or "Keyboard puller's" or just plain and simple "non-puller's" who always manage to jack it up for the guys out here that are trying get some respect from other guy's in the pulling community. Obviously your jockin Piers pretty good too from the looks of your post, when was the last time they built a pulling motor??? Good question huh? I bet they blew that motor up with a hx-35/HT3B combo too, cause that as big a twinset you can get on planet earth :-laf

Greg, do yourself a favor and crawl back in the hole you've been in for a few months, and save yourself from the public humility you just put yourself through. Hey, and maybe do some research (not on Piers' stuff) before you come back on here runnin your gums about something so out of your league, it's just painful to read, even in the banter forum, you friggin moron.

man i wish i would have read the memo about 5500 to 5800 rpm limit. thank god no one has shown that to a lot of pulling engines around here or they would just give up.

( i hope i didnt jinx myself)

We will get a video posted of the tach. People that know how the GUS works will be able to see where it went exactly. I cannot duplicate that on the tach. Partsman took a video of it tonight on his cell phone, not sure if it will post or if we need a normal video camera. But then again maybe your right Cummnzpowr, I was at redline (3500) then when it broke it went to 6000. Dude your nuts, I typically leave the line just below 6000. Eariler in the year I was leaving at 6200. No inflation here, no need for inflation.

Why is it when one of these motors are at that RPM it just sounds like it belongs there.

Hope to see you get it back going soon, Always enjoy watch the vids of it running.

Jeremy, Don't waste your time trying to get video of the tach for this one non believer, lets just leave him n the past :-laf

Great job on pushing the limit guys! It's amaizing what has come about in the last 5 years. When I first got here, 500hp was crazy power!

Man I wish I had the money to play with you guys!

Anyone got a job opening for a wrench bender where I can make the $100,000 a year to keep up?

...

tomcolesanti: i've always been a fan of your truck and you were a pretty cool dude... after that post . . you may as well take that silly little cowboy hat and shove it. . :--) . . sorry lol :-laf

If you guys want to run 50,000 rpm, go for it... at least i won't need a trailer at the end of the night :p . . Piers, sorry man, didn't mean to drag you into it... but what i heard is what i heard and I thought the info was correct. . :(

Heck last year i was leaving the line at 5800+ hit 6150 last year. A year in the diesel pulling is like an eternity. Lots and i mean LOTS of things have been learned this year especially with pumps like cloumbus diesel is putting out!!!!!!!

Cumminzpowr reminds me of my little brothers high school buddies that try to tell me how to set up the pulling truck. They learn all their information from the internet, b/c all the info on the net is right. :)

Chris

..

MoreMph:Dude. . I totally believe 6000 r's is possible in fact i have heard it, but couldn't believe it at first, but C'MON. . 7700?That is a stretch man. . and because you are starting to slander now, I never told anyone how to build a pulling truck. . so stop putting spin on this. I have the utmost respect for you hard core pullers, just have a few doubts without seeing proof is all and you have to get all your panties in a bind. . smoke a joint and mellow out buddy Oo. :p personally, I am not going to destroy my truck and dump all kinds of money into it, been there done that. . nothing to show for it. :(

#@$%!To each his own, back in 2000 did you also think that 500-700 horse was impossable and that our trucks would never reach that kind of power??

Get Real and lay off!!
