terry, e-mail me when you get back in town

as for the truck no news is good news right?

i have not done anything to any of it yet.

small update, plan is to sell the donor rig ... or whats left asap and as soon as that goes i am ordering a brand new nv4500 with an advanced adaptors bellhousing kit. i am hoping to sell/buy this week sometime.

Well I finally found a ramcharger for the conversion. I got an 85 from California, right here in MN about 2 hours away. The only spot of rust on it is above the windshield on the passenger side on the rain catcher lip, otherwise it's rust free. The frame still has 90% of the original black paint, really clean. A couple of dents, but not too bad. I should have it gutted by the weekend then I'm going to have the whole thing blasted. I'll paint the inside and truck bed liner the underside and start converting the interior. I think I'm going to shorten the frame on the 93 donor I have, I'll see when I get both cabs off if that's be easier or if it'd be easier to use the ramcharger frame. . I'm hoping to have it done by this winter. I'll be sure to take some pics and post them when I have time. I know I'll be using this thread and a couple others as I go.

Corey

good luck with it man, i would use the 93 frame if you have the ability to shorten it.

i would have done that if i had found a 4x4 donor but i got the 2wd way to cheep to pass up.

i just bought an adaptor plate, bell housing, clutch fork, and a bolts lot from an 00 nv4500 ... ... ... now i just need the hydraulics, clutch kit and the transmission, and a few small odds and ends and the drive train will be complete.

Looks like I'll be using the 93 frame. Just rough measurements it looks like 25 inches has to come out behind the cab. I'll have to use the ramcharger's gas tank which isn't a big deal I guess, I just dunno how the gauge will react, but I'm sure I can figure it out. Man do I have a lot of work ahead of me. I know my old man is gonna want one when I'm done, he's already asking me how much I'm going to sell this one to him for. I told him :p . :-laf

got to love dodge frames from early 70's till 93 they don't change much

Oo. Oo.

i picked up the rest of my patch pannels and a steering column at carlisle :) now i have got enought stuff to keep me busy for the rest of the summer :)

i only put it together so i could get the engine in and mock up the cross member and figure out where i needed to box the frame, i plan to go through the engine and make it stop leaking.

how long you going to be in town? its not much to look at but you can come buy if you want .....

at one time you said you had a bunch of old dodge stuff here in md ... ... . any of it for sale i am always looking for parts, dont know what i need till i see it lol

no news is good news right ... ... wrong i had to drop 4 grand on the transmission for my daily driver so the trailduster is just sitting waiting for me to pay off credit cards, and then start alittle saving. Oo.

My progress has slowed as well. I've been so busy with other things I haven't been able to even look at the ramcharger. Hopefully soon though.
