90 grid heater not working

The grid heater on my 1990 doesnt seem to be working. I dont get a light or anything on the dash, and it is starting hard. I have only had this truck about a month and never did notice the light working after I bought it. Any ideas?

Got power to your intake heater relays? That'd be my first check. I forget offhand which wires are the feed and which are ground, but it should light a test light, regardless.



Define hard start. The Cummins B should start down to the mid 20s without any preheat in 2-5 cranking revolurions of the engine. Any more crank than that, and you have an issue somewhere.
