well folks it kinda sounds as if the time is near. . I'm getting some soft screeching and grinding sounds when the clutch is depressed. (depressed how ironic) Anyway, I'm thinking probably throw-out bearing but if I'm going in ,I'm going all in, so any recommendations on a new clutch? The truck is a stock '93 clubcab turbo diesel dually with the 5spd. She'll be pulling 7 to 9 ton on occasion, and will see some small horsepower additions in the near future (intake, exhaust, pump tweeks). any suggestions as to brand, size, type, or nods to what has worked for you would be much appreciated!!!!

x2 on calling Peter. the con-o might be good too, if HP increases are modest. Don't wait. You may be buying the trans input gear also if the pilot bushing is shot, and/or input gear bearing, pocket bearing are worn. If you need transmission work or parts, I suggest calling Standard Trans in Forth Worth, TX, 800-std-tran

Peter is at South Bend Clutch, 800-988-4345.
