Drove over to the shop, this morning. Used the truck. I went the long way around to stop by the P. O. . This route takes me down a 3 mile, 10% + grade. I did not have to tap the brakes often to hold the speed limit (30 MPH). Any brake engagement was very smooth and quite effective. Before the upgrade, there was noticeably more brake useage in longer intervals to keep the truck at the desired speed.
As a check on the tierod that was built and installed recently, I took the wrenches to the lock nuts to see if they had worked loose. They were still tight, however, I could turn the entire tierod with some effort. I will dissassemble the tierod and double nut both tierod ends as an extra precaution. Just some feedback and hopefully heads up on this method. GregH
