the transmission on my 97 is acting funny. it was rebuilt 100,000 miles ago and have not had any issues. It doesn't seem to be slipping but instead seems to not remember how to shift. When i start from a stop with the front wheels pointed forward it will start off great, but feels like it waits longer to go into 2nd than before. If i crank the wheels to the left or right it hesitates to take off and then will, and will do the same as described earlier from 1st to 2nd. When i get to about 45 mph if i am not still 3/4 into the throttle it seems to not be able to decide which gear it wants. If I get in or let off of the throttle it will pick which gear it wants. Just looking for good advice before i take it to a trans shop. I have no clue about automatic transmissions and am not afraid to say it but they could tell me anything and would not be able to tell them that they were wrong.
ANY IDEAS??
p. s. anyone know a honest trans shop somewhere near Frederick, MD
