Look, I hate to rain on your parade but no one here is going to say that you will be safe making any kind of modifications without having a way to monitor the results... ... ... ... ... ... ... . With a stock turbo and edge comp on 5 you will cook your turbo very quickly, your little exhaust pipe and your fancy intake are not going to keep it cool... ... ... ... ... ... . you have to know how much boost you have and how hot you are... ... ... ... ... ... By the way it is not a chip it is a box. //??... ... ... . any upgrades need to be done in a balanced way... . an edge comp on 5 with stock injectors is a violent kind of power compared to an edge comp on 2 or 3 and 100 or 80 hp edge injectors... ... ... ... ... . At that point you need to make turbo modifications to keep things cool ... ... ... and its a good idea to put in studs or fire rings at this point and since you got it apart for studs/fire rings you might as well do a cam ... ..... and you cant hardly put it back together with those gay little edge injectors so you spend the money for the 150s ... and now you need more air so maybe you can make a twin set up out of you old turbo and the one you upgraded to... but probably not so the eternal struggle continues... big single or twins?. . Oh yea that stock charge air cooler probably is not going to last long ... ... ... ... ...

Yes all of this with an edge comp. YOU NEED TO BUY THE COMP WITH ATTITUDE AND HAVE A PROFESSIONAL HOOK IT UP ... ... ..... ALSO YOU NEED TO HOOK UP THE GAUGES BEFORE YOU TEST DRIVE IT.

Oh yea, whatever transmission you have now will not last long if you do the above modifications . There is a good possibility that it will not make it out of your driveway if you have a long one.

Thanks for the info in the rather rude tone, I am not looking for the biggest and baddest truck around nor know everything there is to do/know. I'm taking it step by step and seeking advice on here as well as multiple garages. I do know that I have read and been told the attitude don't even work with the comp so I can't even do what your are suggesting. As far as gauges, I know I need them and know as well that I will get them soon.

got your attention though.

Look I was making a point, sorry if it was rude to you

The point is any modifications require feedback to you

In your earlier posts you said you wanted feedback about running the edge comp wide open with no gauges

I wanted to emphasize that this is very STUPID

you need gauges before you add any modifications so you have a baseline

any power modification you make will help to destroy you stock transmission or clutch or both

If you will use the search feature you will see that Banks products are held in very low regard on this site they do not provide the horsepower per $ that other venders do please do your research.

The Smarty should also be a good choice remember, do your research

Lastly, I do not have the baddest truck around and I certainly do not know very much. But I do know that I burnt up a turbo because I did not have any gauges and I did not want to take the advice of other smarter people on this site.

GBE has the Resources and the ability to Test all Drive Component's on any truck, and checks for MAX stress and than determines safe levels,This is why Banks is so well like on the world seen, their fit and finish is above reproach. The Only thing most other aftermarket companies have to offer is HP. . unforunatly it is easy to be deceive into thinking I can add 150 hp to a stock vehicle with just a module WITHOUT possible consequence's or you can add a 4" Exhaust and get Better mileage, all these companies are telling is the things we all like to Hear, but have little to offer. . So if someone is telling you the things you want to Hear!! who best interest are they looking out for?

Im not necessarily looking for the best hp or anything, again the best bang for the buck, i have been in a toss up between an edge and banks box for some time now reading back and forth and leaning more towards a edge juice w/ attitude to fulfill both requirements at the same time, I just dont want performance to be lacking if I went per say a smarty box and bought custom gauges. I understand that I will still have to monitor but if i can squeeze more power easier with one box over the other. I just feel that the attitude might be a good route to go and wondering its advantages and disadvantages over custom normal gauges. Thanks
