2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 98 interior in 97 or 96

Im not sure if this was talked about or not, Ive tried looking but cant find anything



I really like the interiors of the 98s however I cant find one and the ones I do are way out of my price range, I was wondering if anyone has or if you can swap in the interior from a 98 into a 97 or 96



Im looking for a stick



the only other option I had was buying one of the cheaper auto 98 short beds and convertering to a stick shift

anyways please tell me what you think

Putting a 98+ dash into a pre 98 is a real PIA. The mounting is not the problem but the wiring is.



Personally I would rather make an auto a stick vs. wiring a 98+ dash into a pre 98.

when you say wiring I assume you mean there is tons of wire stripping and such, not so much a plug and play kind of thing?

No plug and play. The wiring harness is different.



My neighbor did this to his 97. I can stop and talk with him if you would like more details. One other thing to consider, a 98+ interior in a pre 98 truck might really hurt resale.

if you do get a chance from your neighbor then please do, otherwise I might just maybe swap seats or something, its just that I dont like the squareness of the interiors of pre 98s, but the trucks are still awesome and so much cheaper for me...
