SOLD! Pending transaction - as of 5/12/21

Just got a Fab Fours, I call it a "long leg-ed road rodent (deer) deflector", front bumper and am selling my original one. It has no dents, not tweaked, chrome is nice = not new but pretty darn good looking. There's one small screw hole above front license plate bracket (was there when I bought truck in 5/01), all plastic parts were correctly prepared and painted (with correct colors, Silver & Black, plastic paint) about 4 years ago, still looks good, they have a few scratches under paint but look nice. Comes with all parts to "bolt-on" your truck; frame to bumper brackets, hardware, front license plate bracket, air dam etc. I'm keeping the fog lights as they supposedly will install in new bumper. Sorry no pictures presently as truck is 6 hours away having injectors installed and trans gone over, will post when I get it back.
Looking for PMs with best offer, if you feel it's not worth $150+ don't bother to PM. I live in Levittown, PA 19057 will consider delivery or ½ meet up, depending on location. Pictures to come

..... waiting on pictures.....

Guess I should have mentioned after my statement - "Sorry no pictures presently as truck is 6 hours away having injectors installed and trans gone over, will post when I get it back." "Not sure when that will be till I am notified truck is ready" Most likely next week sometime.

Oh yeah, that's right. Will wait for pics. Dumping a ton of $ in my 98 currently. I'm down in Ga. but may be up there for a visit family where I'm from in Allentown and Emmaus. Will wait for pics, if I can save a few bucks I would consider it. Forget how much the one from LMC is that I was looking at.

Bill, all good, I can relate. Spent quite a bit at LMC myself over the years. About 4 years back I probably spent 2k for things getting ready for paint, fenders, bed wheel arch patch panels and other rust repair items. Got fortunate and scored a new in the box Dodge drivers front door right here in classifieds for a song. All totaled I'd say just over 10k including paint & metal work. Some folks might think we're nuts spending that kind of change and I've had some ask/say "it's just an old truck, you should get a new one?". Then when I tell them "I've had this old truck since 5/01 and it has been paid for since 03". And tell them what I paid for it, put into it to make it mine over the years (about 10k, before paint), what it would cost for a similarly optioned "new" one and then how much I'd have to spend to make it how I'd want it. Some shake their heads, others understand. Nothing replaces the thumbs up and "nice old truck" you get when it's all done.

I agree 100%. This poor truck will need (and already have) a bed, tailgate, lower rear cab corners, rockers (inner and outer), and both front fenders. The only good steel is both doors are untouched with no rust and hood. Another guy on here owned this truck from up there in Pa. who even garage kept it before I got it from him 11 yrs ago. I'll have to send you a picture of it's current state. I've been taking the rear half down to metal and 3 coats including rust converter, self etching primer and an INDUSTRIAL coat of black paint. I opened a can of worms when I removed the bed Lol. Stay tuned.. Is that bumper new from when you restored yours?

Not too pretty... Yet.

No bumper is OEM. See description in 1st post and note what all comes with it etc. and small screw hole above license plate bracket...

Same color as mine, Light Driftwood. It has to go thru fugly before it can be beautiful again. I sandblasted all new metal parts (even inner, outer rockers and cab floor vertical drop) with POR15 before any welding. Once all fitted I scribed where weld (plug welded) holes were grounded down, copper weld thru primer, reinstalled, spotted in, then cleaned welds and re-PORed. Areas that got finish paint were scuffed, primed then painted. Then, using Eastwood internal frame coating I fished the tube into every nook I could and sprayed the hell out of it. Once I do passenger side rockers plan is to Herculiner from side molding down and up under cab, then trim to fit up some Tucker mudflaps keeping them about 3" from the road. This truck should not rust out again, at least for the rest of my life.

And here I am still driving around the 99 that still has everything but the trans. still on and working. And I do mean everything it came with.
What's the secret to your no rust? Unless these trucks are garage kept, not in the salt belt, etc it seems it's inevitable they're prone to getting rust. I was really looking particularly at how the inner and outer rocker panels are plug welded BUT there is still open areas at that seam to allow water, etc to get in. All it takes is a hairline opening and there are plenty. Wonder what could be put there to close that seam up. I have a tube of seam caulk but not sure it would do the job because the openings are so small... I will be having a professional welder weld all the panels on..

Live in Az. although it's not for everyone.

Little openings at bottom of rockers are weep holes. If you seal them up it'll still rust from the inside and hold water. Best you can do is take out rubber plugs and flush, then small wire (mig wire works) to clear weep holes to get dirt from clogging. Blow out with air, attach a long semi-flexable tip and start from front working towards back. Best if you have truck facing up hill. It's a pain in the butt and time consuming job, but quicker, easier and cheaper than welding in new... After a few warm "dry out" days get some Fluid Film and use one of the hoses from Eastwood's internal frame coating and spray the heck out of the inners through the plug holes. Don't forget to reinstall the rubber plugs.

Finally able to post pictures. All fasteners, outrigger brackets to frame and mounts for factory fogs. Was able to use my fogs on new Fab Fours. Closing on present home sale this Thursday 5/13, loading Duster on trailer today hope to get it to new home today or tomorrow, movers coming Monday, so time is of the essence. I'll try to check back a few times daily for reply. Bill, if you're still interested, I'm moving to Hawley PA, not far from Allentown, I'd hate to have to take with me from present Levittown PA location, but I will if you can't get up for it before I go. I'll PM you with my phone number so you can call.
