Exhaust brake with automatic transmission.......who's running one?

Bogging down issue

Greetings, I have a 99 3500 SLT with power/heated mirrors. I put on a set of towing mirrors from Genos, but they turned out to be non-heated which is really necessary where I live. I plan to change them out (DF already has dibs on them, sorry!) and ran across these on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Powered-Heat...keywords=dodge+mirrors+towing+led+1999)--they show the LED on them as well. I contacted the seller, who says yes, it can be done. The plug in the Amazon pix is different than the factory one in the truck (definitely won't fit) but it appears it could be cut/spliced to a plug from the factory original.

Anyone ever wire one of these so LEDs work? If so, any secrets?

Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can offer is to wire them from the front signals. if you wire then from the rear they will illuminate whenever the brakes are applied as well as signaling turns.

Here's an answer. Found a set of mirrors manufactured by Trail Ridge that has the LED, and in the box is all required wiring AND "destructions" to properly wire it. Can wire either into the turn signals or running lights.

Bringing back these posts, Has any one done the 4th gen mirror-heads and wired them in to the existing wiring on a 2nd gen truck so they work. And will the 2nd gens all have the same size mounting bracket on the door? from 94-2002?
Even though they are listed as fitting the 94-95's they discourage from purchasing cause they will not fit. No plug and play? why?

This link shows 94-02.

As far as I know they are All the triangle mount with 3 studs going through the door. Who says they won't fit? Does your truck have provisions for power/heated mirrors?
I do have the original powered chrome mirrors now and want to convert to the towing mirrors that have the 4th gen configuration heads, with turn signals. Mine are powered, I have wired them to have a running lite and turn signal, The 01's for this listing, example is listed with this type of head, turn signals and heat, I could do that, but I just have to run those wires for the heat to work.
I talked with a guy at 1AAuto and gave him my scenario, and his reply was " don't they will work." The main difference is the mounting to the door, the plastic triangle pieces is about 6" on the 94-02's where the 03 and up is like 8-10" tall. And the wiring plug is different. I know there has been a bunch of guys that figured out the wiring problem. Remember they were getting the old manual adjusted mirrors and converting the later model powered mirrors and marring the two together at the joint to have power adjusted mirrors.
Thanks for your help. JR

I bought a pair on ebay and wired them in at the steering column. On my 1998.5 auto the right turn was a tan wire and the left was a lite green. As I recall there were a couple 'lite green' so I had to probe. Pretty easy to get done. Hardest part was getting the wire through the wire loom between the door hinges.
