A/C compressor will not cycle on and off - suspect a problem with the temp sensor and or compressor control switch up by the firewall, passenger side, charge pressure is OK - still running R-12. Temps are good and the evaporator box is regularly cleaned out. There was a good article on this topic last summer but cannot find it - help! Also, any information on the bypass valve would be of assistance!!!

THANKS!

So your a/c is working, correct? It just doesn't cycle the clutch? If this is the case, just push the capilary tube further into the low side pipe and see if it starts to cycle. I recently had a problem where my a/c clutch wouldn't engage. I had power everywhere all the way to the clutch, but no workie. Went to the junkyard and got another cycleing switch and all is good, the problem was on the ground side.
