I have a 2006 Dodge ram 2500 5.9l cummins. all of my controls work like it should except when I put it on the a.c it blows about 30 to 35 percent out of the dash vents and the rest comes out of the floor vents. Can some one tell me why this could be happening. Thanks

Common problem on 3rd gen trucks ... Blend door or blend door motor are failing failing.

Check out Blend Door USA for the proper fix...they DO make a better product then the Heater Treater replacement doors, and obviously the oem doors kinda suck.

You don't say what door position is selected on the control panel. If the selection is like in the photo below, then most of the air would come from the vents and the rest would go to the floor. This would be normal. The photo is for a 2006 - 2007 Dodge Ram.

The guy that I bought the truck from said the upper and lower box had been replaced about 6 months ago. I pulled the dash and looks like the door that controls the vents and the floor looks okay. Could it be the actuator he said it was replaced when the boxes was replaced and it looks like he replaced it with a TRW actuator.

Your blend doors are likely broken, Blend door USA is the best replacement! Might as well change the heater core an A/C evaporator while your at it.

Actuators very rarely fail.
But what's important, after work on the doors they need to be run through a resetting program that the motors know their end positions.
This is done with wiTech at the dealer or by yourself through AutoEnginuity.
