Competition how much boost out of twins?

Competition Using HX 35 in twin setup

Joe, you and Don both make my head hurt with that kind of formula talk... ..... I'm not that smart and I rely heavily on common sense;)

I hear what you'll are saying about Nitrous and even Meth, now that I'm building a real set of Twins I may not need it.

Let me ask who ever wants to answer the question, if I were at an event and wanted to run fuel only and everyone knows I have a water system and I wanted it disabled to run that class then ON to run in unlimited what is fair to the others that I'm against. Turn the switch off, pull the relay, disconnect the power wire! The idea would be a quick one so I could do both classes at on the same tie down.

Uhhhhhh.....

Okaaayyyy... ...

I must have missed my I. Q. pill this morning.

Joe, what was that all about?

I say bring it on! Personally, I know you have way more power than I do, but I didn't build my truck to be a Dyno Queen either! Pick a large event to truck to and don't forget the gun! I like the idea of Muncie '04, sorta central and a half a year away. Then again, we've got an event down in Florida coming up in mid Jan, Bring ol' Sickly down there for some Smoke in the Sun.

Personaly, I'm all for using only Diesel to make power, but I feel that if others want to spray, that's their option. I'll get back to them in 150,000 miles :D , but untill then I'll watch them zip by me on the track :--) .

It don't matter if you "Spray" or "Smoke", it's all good.

You guys are too much..... who cares how much horsepower somebody else has. You guys are how old? in your 30's,40's? and are argueing about something this petty??? To each his own, if somebody wants a single charged 700hp truck thats great, if somebody wants a 700hp twinned truck, thats great... . if you want to run water,N2O,meth, whatever, who cares..... Next your going to be bickering about who has a longer driveshaft:eek: ... ... ... ... ... . Walk softly and carry a big stick. ;)

Nitrous oxide, N2O, is obtained by thermal decomposition of ammonium nitrate in the melt at 250-260 deg. C. It can also produced in the reduction of nitrites and nitrates and by the decomposition of hyponitrites. At higher temperatures it decomposes to nitrogen and oxygen, it reacts with alkali metals, and many organic compounds, and it will support combustion. Its structure is well established. The molecule is linear and can be described as a resonance hybrid

What we saw:

What a bunch of chatter....

If you guys want a bunch of nit-picking class rules between twins/nos/pane,lol/pumps/valves, maybe you need to establish them and start NASDIEZ because all of the sniffles on here about technical variances make the high HP stuff hilarious. It reminds me of NASCAR chatter. I am not trying to start something, but just do the math. You all need to use the same dyno, and adjust for temps and alts, and them add another smidge of a percent of error so that feelings don't get hurt on subsequent dyno runs where HP doesn't meet expectations from past runs. I am the only nut on here that just does not like the inertia or whatever dynos everyone is running anyhow. I have dynoed quite a few trucks mostly class eight, but some pick-ups too. The dyno I operated was a taylor that allows for testing constant HP, I firmly believe that you cannot get better consistancy with anything else. I think that the dyno jets and others are good for racers to check and see where they are at "relatively", but super accuracy with one is a bit far fetched. Besides if some one makes 850 hp, and then some one pulls 840 Hp, and no one blows up, who is crying about that?

I just found Joe D's dyno graph.

I don't think I was supposed to post it, as we all know how secretive he is of his graphs, but here it is anyway, for all to see.

On edit: Make sure that the HP/Torque lines cross at 5252 RPM!! :D Dang - he makes power BELOW idle..... negative RPM!!
