weekend trip to Coral pink Sandunes (pics)

Wanna haul a car from CO to ID?

Being a truck driver for 30 yrs I have come to the conclusion that alot of people don't read road signs. I'm sure you have noticed that at construction sites when it squeezes down to one lane. The other factor is what I call the ME Factor. Sooo many out there today don't have respect or curtsey for thir fellow driver.

most people think driving is a right and not a privilage. that being said most think about themselves first and foremost, many times at the expense of others. pass them on the right--really gets 'em mad. :-laf

YES! but that just makes it easier for the smart people to get ahead! I'm doing fine thank you :D

here's the formula you are looking for:pass em on the right, slow down a bit and then smoke em out! test out that automatic darkness setting on thier headlights for them.

to add the dumb list: whats up with people driving side-by-side with you for miles on end at 75MPH too?

when i get someone doing that i just start crowding and slighty swerving in thier direction until they get nervous enough to back off or speed up.

LOL yeah the side by side thing is alot like a herd of cows bunched up in a giant field.

These drivers I believe suffer from the same mentality as the cows. It is a herding instict, perhaps from growing up in a crowded city. They just feel scared when they are out there all alone. :-laf

I'll just get right on their tail pipe and ride'em close flashing my brights until they pull over. If that fails then I go to option number two: Pass'em and the smoke'em :-laf

the only problem with your plan A, Clayton; If they brake and you hit them its your fault.

skip plan A, go straight to plan B :D

Heck, you can be dumb as a hammer as long as you hang that wrist over the wheel or better yet , just sorta' lay it up there; don't matter what you're towing or how fast you're goin', lookin' both cool and tough! Look out when they try it on the lake, better yet ,on their motorcycles!!Don't forget now, adjust that wheel up as far as she'll go so we can all see... ... ok I'm done

I firmly believe that half of the drivers should not have a lic to drive

Sounds good, but I fear it would put more unlicensed/uninsured driver on the road.

My personal favorite is the folks with High-intensity driving lights fully ablaze on their (insert SUV of choice here), as they drive the city streets. Cityfyed dip... . s

I commute 42 miles across town. It is amazing the kind of driving I see. On a regular basis I come across individuals who, at an intersection, think it is okay to turn left from the right lane, then look bewildered when you hit the horn and stomp the brakes to avoid hitting them.

I try to drive with the same thought as if I was standing in line at a bank. I don't run up the line and cut in at the teller counter. I also don't let others cut in line in front of me if I can help it.

People think that their cars are their castles. Therefore everything around them is also their domain. You, as a fellow driver, are just a peasant slowing down their progress.

I could go on for hours. Ask my wife, this is my biggest peeve.

A-FREAKIN' MEN Brother!!!

the number one reason i spent money on injectors and a box is to teach the walking dead out there to get out of the rest of the worlds way!!!!!

Two of my favorites are the people that, when it shows for 1/4 mile or so that 2 lanes go into one, will bypass the long line of people in the one lane and run up to the front where they crowd in. They can see just as well as I can. Funny, I don't get many trying to get in front of me... Might be the big bumpers and lack of space.

The other one is the guy at a 4 way stop that sits there as you drive up, obviously stopping, and waits until you come to a full stop, then slowly drives through..... like he can't go until someone shows up to yield to him. Idiots !!

Being a truck driver for over 15 yrs now my biggest peeve or view of what alot of people do is just like the above post, the "ME FIRST" factor is all that counts.....

Car comes up an you are in the right lane (Me in truck) and the car wants to exit the freeway 1/4 mile away... or less... . Does the car slow down behind the truck and exit? ..... Heck no!... . Floor it, go around, hit the brakes, and get off 1/2 second in front of the truck... This is the biggest thing I have been seeing. Sadly, I saw a couple of truckers do this as well... . gotta be a rookie I guess ... Invincible... .

For those people that do the thing I described and the jackrabbit traffic catterpiller, (floor it, hit brakes, repeat) ... . I DO NOT want to hear them complain about the gas prices or wonder why they are not getting the Mileage they should... .

Also I see the drivers of these cars have to almost lean forward or other move to see the rear view and then they also crane their necks... . Some lounge, or recline, looking cool. There is no way they can see the mirrors from that position... .

Last I saw the DMV had license tests in 35 languages to help them pass..... Uhhh, last I saw... ALL of the road signs in the US are in english... . Ok maybe a few spanish at the airport but thats it...

What do all these people that can't read english, but have a license, do to get around? They fake it? have a translator book in hand while driving? Man!

Most people don't know how to merge anymore. If I can't move over and there is room in front or back of me I will keep a steady speed. It's their decision to merge in front of me or behind. But no, they come up along side and when there is no road left for them they just start moving over anyway. MAKE A DECISION BEFORE YOU GET THERE!

My.02

Ok, Here's one for ya'

Remember when 9-11 happened?

Almost everyone's driving skills improved 100% that day.

And it actually lasted for a while.

People were actually courteous ;)

Now after a few months, things started slipping again.

I think the "me first" idiots are back, more than before 9-11. .

I'll give a guy or gal a break if they use their signal,

even if they don't sometimes deserve it.

But the line cutters,? I usally let them look at the side of my truck... :-laf

Because they are the ones that "never" give any one else a break,

especially when some one needs it.
