I think that the whole point was if you are not made of tons of $$$ then this could be a way to solve the problem of having an suv and wanting to tow a 5ver that you already own. I bought my dodge back in 95 (back before the club cab) and it's the most dependable vehicle that I have ever owned. I don't really want to get another truck until dodge comes out with the real crew cab sometime next year. Even then, I don't look forward to payments, All of my toys are paid for! Of course, if this contraption costs too much, such as over $2,000 then I would say it's a waste to spend the money.
I do agree, a soccer mom should not be driving this type of thing down the road. I think that legally, you would have to have a doubles and triples endorsement on your license as it is technically another trailer. Already having a class b license for 15 years, that wouldn't be a big upgrade for me. This setup seems very similar to the big rigs that tow doubles.
