Seems like when truck is ran in rain the ABS & EMER. brake light on dash come on. when it dries out or ran for just a few miles the light goes out any thoughts on that ?

Sounds like maybe you could have damaged insulation on one of the ABS sensor wires which allows water in temporarily thus shorting out the circuit. A dealer (or friend) with a Chrysler DRBIII scan tool should be able to pull any ABS trouble codes and pinpoint the offending sensor circuit.

Good luck,

John L.

When my ABS and emergency brake light were stuck on in my '03 it ended up just being the ABS fuse. It happened after I slid in to a curb in the snow. Replaced the fuse and all was well. Yours is intermittent, mine was steady, but the fuse is an easy check.

My truck is a 06 2500. Bought it used with 41,000 last year. About a month after purchase both the ABS and brake lights came on. Would drive 40 miles or so and they would come on. Other times might be 100 miles. Shut the truck off and wait a while... . lights out. Might drive another 40 miles and they come back on. Took it to a Dodge dealer. TWO tips units and abs sensors later... AND 1000 bucks or so... . lights STILL come on. Dealer wants me to bring it back AGAIN... says he can fix it this time. Should I? A friend says just ignore it. Runs fine. Maybe I will put some electrical tape over the lights? Ideas?

After spending a grand, and the problem still existed, I would introduce the dealer to my lawyer, and tell the dealer he had two choices - - FIX IT - - or - - SEE YOU IN COURT, the suit will be for FRAUD

I read some place that they had the abs light came on intermittenly and it turned out that one of the front wheel bearings was starting to go out . They changed the wheel bearings and that fixed it.

IIRC, the speedo will opearate with input from one of 3 sensors... the 2 front ABS sensors, or the sensor in the rear diff. My lights have been on for almost 200k miles now. When one sensor went bad up front I had some severe issues with the thing trying to compensate for the side that had a working sensor. Can you say sudden turn right now ??? :eek:Once the other side took a dump, no more issues... and my TST box covers the yellow ABS light perfectly, custom trio gauge cluster on steering column covers the red brake light !
