ABS Light Comes On

New problem. 2003 3500 SRW 6 sp. When I turn key on all idiot lights come on and then after a few seconds go off, including the ABS light. When I then start the truck the ABS light comes on for about 3 seconds then bongs and goes out. Is this a problem? Reading rule book doesn't clarify.

Mine does exactly the same thing. I've been ignoring it.

I don't think it is a problem, mine does the same thing, I think it is going thru some kind of "self diagnosis" to see if everything ok?:--)

My ABS light blinks on occasionally right after I've parked and before I shut off the engine. I attribute it to the same thing as the random "check gauges" light (for which there's a TSB to reprogam the cluster). I ignore it. I never noticed it coming on at start-up and then bonging but I guess I'll look for that next time I start my truck.
