This is my first post. I just did a dana 80 axle swap going from 3.55 to 4.10.the speed sensor was broke in the 4.10 axle. I broke the the one in the 3.55 when taking it out. ? Is ,will a 1998 abs sensor fit a 96 axle. Auto zone shows two part numbers .I would rather use a 98 because it will plug in to the existing plug.the 96 has a different plug and cost 15 dollars more....thanks Robert

The part that goes in the axle should be the same, buy the one that matches your vehicle harness.

I went with the 96 sensor because the 96 rear end has fins on both sides of the sensor hole that would make the 98 plug difficult to install because the plug in are on different sides.I just had to cut and solder on the 96 plug that came with the rear end.everything is working well. ....thanks Robert
