Just picked up a used 2015 Tradesman 2500 4x4 to replace my '03. Really like the truck so far, but the lack of map lights is pretty annoying; enough so, that I plan to add the center console from a wrecked truck. Just wondering if others have done this and have some tips.

I'm guessing that since there are no cab clearance lights (maybe I should add those as well while I have stuff apart?) the only wiring above the headliner would be for the dome and center brake lights, or is there other connections up there? I'm hoping I can also get the Homelink buttons to work as well.

a friend with a 2015 slt did not have the pre-wiring on the a-pillar for the C-Lights, he had to hardwire it down to the TIPM.

Home link is an integral part of the TIPM controlled system, that sure would have to be done by a dealer as a dealer added feature - if possible.

these new trucks dont work like the the old one.

Well, it looks like the Homelink module is in the piece I bought on eBay. Seems like it should just be an opener that's hard-wired and never needs a replacement battery. We'll see....

Home link just needs power and ground. I have taken a couple out of a Chrysler convertible at Pick N Pull as it's in the visor. You cut them apart and the module is smaller than a pack of cigarettes
