OK, since my injector issues, I'm starting to see what is already in my fuel.
I spoke with a local distributor (HHO and diesel) at a BP station. They additize their fuel with "Petroleum Products' Company" EC-1, which he said that is the same as the "Winter Flow" additive. The additive is made by Octel Starreon and injected at the rack... he also has the bottles of "Winter Flow" on his shelf. He has a product called "Winter Phyrre" added to his HHO.
The one Petro I stopped at uses "Diesel Guard" (which made the fuel purple in color!).
Might be worthwhile to find out just what is being added to your fuel before you buy it... he told me there is no reason to add additional additive to the additized fuel sold at his BP, and that it might actually cause problems. He indicated that if you add anything to additized fuel, that you should go light on the doseage.
I attached some literature on the product the local BP uses...
