AFE drop in's.

Gentlemen

Do the AFE drop ins seal off well enough around the stock air box? I'm just looking for a reuseable filter element. I plan on driving the 05 stock it has plenty of power for my 12k toy hauler

I have the drop in on my 04 and its seals good. On mine its hard to get the cover back on it. They might make them oversize so they seal good like Amsoil.

Thanks for the quick responce I really did'nt want to go for the added expence of the one ( Not sure of which stage it is ) that replaces the entire box. I just needed something that can be reused and breaths a little better.

Take off the connection (rubber tube) next to the air box. It goes on real easy then. Hook up tube.

I did as bwfairchild suggested when I had the Amsoil filter on my '03. Makes it much easier to get it snapped back together and make sure the filter is seated properly.
