After Market Rear Bumpers ?

I am now on the market for an after-market rear bumper and cannot locate any anywhere. I have looked through hundreds of pics in our photo gallery and found nothing. I take it , this is not a popular thing to do, but, Being my bumper needs replacement, I would rather step it up a notch, If you know what I mean :-laf . I am looking for some cool ideas...

Check out Fab Fours, they allow you to keep your factory tow hitch. Road Armor is pretty nice too... a little more expensive though.

Reunel has an excellent line of bumpers both front and rear. I had one of their bumpers on the back of my 99 ( still have it at home it is for sale for those interested) I truly felt it was completely invaluable. I protected the back of my 99 ram on several occasions. It was hit several times working as part of the rescue crew, at the Pahrump valley speedway ( not May Madness events thankfully) and never had one ill effect to the truck. One instance I didnt even believe what the rest of the rescue crew was saying when it was hit. Evidently the truck was actually moved over a foot from the impact of a driver not stopping, the only thing to be found the next day in good daylight was some marring of the paint. IM SOLD!!! I will be purchasing another rear bumper from Reunel for my 06' as soon as funds permit. I feel they are worth every dollar. I hope this helps

Wheatman mentioned the Tough Country bumpers. I have both front and rear. I'm very satisfied with them and they didn't cost a small fortune... .

I spoke last year to a Reunel bumper owner. He was dissappointed in the lack of rust proofing. We live five miles from the Pacific Ocean and the '05 Reunel was showing mucho rust. Great design and strength but could have used better prep and paint.

I must confess, the fabfours rear bumper looks really tough / cool. I only wish it came in a polished stainless steal. Being it is a $1k bumper, It must be something I really like. .
