I am trying to install a Stewart Warner Fuel Level Guage. It is supposed to be used in a Dodge application with the stock sending unit, but I am having problems. Which wire (color and tracer color) do I tie into? I tried a blue with white tracer and a black or brown with a lime green tracer and one will make the guage read full and the other will make it read empty. I have half a tank of fuel. Do I need to tie into something else? Thanks in advance.

Never used that unit, but is there a calibration screw on the gauge? Might not be set to the correct ohms or voltage that it should be. Did your original gauge fail? or is there a problem with the sender... that happens quite a lot. .

good luck

Jeremy; The connector should be a four pin, only two of which is used. I believe those are the DB/WT which is the level sensor, and BK/LB which is the sensor ground. The other two are for an in the tank fuel pump found on the gas burners. Those would have been DG/BK fuel pump relay, and BK ground. I would think it would use the level sensor and sensor ground. Were there no instructions? Hope this helps.

The stock guage is fine but I have changed over to all aftermarket guages. The instructions say to tie onto the sending unit wire on the signal terminal on the guage. The other two are 12v keyside supply and a ground. Also there is not a calbration screw on the guage. But the have like a resistor that is tied onto the 12v supply and the signal terminal. I'll mess with it more after work today and see if i can't find different wires to tie into. I may have the wrong sensor ground on it. Thanks

Should have read the post closer. I thought you were replacing the sender. That's where everyone has problems. Can't help you on the other end of those wires!
