OK I give up! I can not get the AC lines off the drier and the condensor to replace the filter and the drier. I bought one of those spring compressors for the fittings but it seems to thick to go into the fittings. Any body have an idea?

Thank you

It's tough to distinguish what's going wrong here in the net.

Mine came right off.

Double check to see if you're using the right size. ?

If the line is in a bind it will make it very hard to get the tool under the garter spring. Also any pressure in system would make it difficult to release. Try wiggling/twisting back and forth on the line while inserting the tool. Then too, maybe the tool is to thick??? bg

So I bought the cheap little plastic fuel line /AC line disconect tools from Harbor freight and they worked great and the lines came off real easy right away. The right tool for the right job

Keep those handy if you know a Ford owner. My step sons mercury has AC compression fitting on his fuel lines in addition to the AC. We had to to remove the intake to fix a leaking water line from the water pump. Stupid Design
