No AD uses the same filters on all of their units.

Thanks again. . that's too bad IMHO, as it seems to be a reliable and proven unit, has a CARB # (important for those of us who live in CA. ), but I would love to be able to pick and choose between filters and separators, PARTICULARLY a water/fuel separator that has better ratings then the one that comes with it.

Still, looking at your chart, I could run the Airdog and and still keep the Baldwin PF7977 that I run in the oem canister and still get 95% emulsified water separation @5 mic.

ps--can I simply repost on this thread the chart that you made and posted on cumminsforum or do you want to do it--it is GREAT info!!!

Thanks as always!!

Seems to work good i got a 165 w/ the tank straw. The fleetguard filters for the 165 are w/f is fs19594 an 3micron filter ff5613 I think there all the same filters but double check.

If you have a long box theirs more room inside the frame rail to mount it an not much problems short box is a little trickier if you want it in side. I built a new bracket an bought diffrent fittings to make it fit better an cleaner but very happy with pump an way quieter than the fass. Now jus trying to get the cp3 to keep up. lol

Where does this 3um number come from? Fleetguard doesn't use it, and its their filter. Its 5um absolute, so a 5um filter.

Go ahead, I won't have a chance for a few days... so be my guest.

And thats 6um nominal. . OE spec for your truck is 7um absolute and 95% free and 95% emulsified water sep. . Sounds like the setup you have is worse than stock

Ya i'm not to happy right now considering i'm having injector problems. ordering some new filters tonight

I also installed the fp-100. I have been happy with it for the most part but have a pressure fluxuation problem i cannot pin down. But this seems to be a very uncommon problem.

I suggest going back thru your stock bowl. . The AD f/w sep is only 50% free and 0% emulsified, OE filters are 95% for both.

Okay, so I'm now running through an FS19594 f/w sep and then it goes through an FF5613 fuel filter... ... how am I doing???

(P. S. it's still going straight to the VP-44)

FYI the stock filter will still need changing occasionally. A customer of mine had his clog and was measuring Fuel pressure in front of the stock canister instead of on the back side to see what real inlet pressure on the VP44 was. He was getting 216 code due to clogged stock filter while running the airdog.
