Stab, what does the tag in the door say your minimum tire pressure should be. I also think 50 is to low in front. I run mine at 65 all the way around and more in the rear at times. I just drove an 2015 air ride I wasn't very impressed but we only went around the block at 30 mph in a city, not munch of a rest ride. If I buy one I will get the air ride and I pull trailers with up to 7k of tongue weight at times. I would think it will holding up. I would like to know what you think of the ride at 65 all the way around. Did you start higher and work your way down to 50?

50 is to low for any Dodge and/or Ram truck with a Cummins over the front axle. I run 57 pounds in LT265/75R16E with 4300-4400 on it. Snoking

Hey everyone we have a new member!!!

He came here from the Mobile Suites Forum. Hope I had some influence with your decision to join. You will see a couple friendly faces around here from the MS Forum. Happy to have you here.

Really amazing how many new RAM owners are being added there since I joined 3 years ago. It used to be a Blue Oval good ol boys club.

Thanks. And thanks for telling me about this forum. I notice some guys from the Cummins forum also. I did not even sample the blue koolaid, as I did not want to buy a truck with a new fuel system and turbo. GMC was a very close 2nd.

Ok boys! I just inflated to 65psi...in the fronts. I was just doing some testing on ride and the pressure monitoring system. It had 70ish all the way around when I picked it up and the ride was a little choppy, so I lowered to 60 then 50. BUT BACK UP TO 65 NOW, and will probably run them all the way to 80 when towing. I used an inferred temp tester when towing (when stopped for fuel) for monitoring all the way around and especially on the 5er.

Stab do your self a favor and look at the weight/inflation chart for your tires. I can tell you for a fact running anything over 45 in the rear solo will result in the center wearing out. Also if towing with 4-5K pin weight 60psi in the rear is plenty. 35K and the wear on my rear tires is perfect and well within my capacities running these pressures.

I even get Ford guys telling me how good my truck rides.

OK, I'm taking all this in and will see how it all comes together in a couple weeks when it's hooked up.
I'm probably not going to make it that long for a test tow but, I'm trying....:)

Hey speaking of tires I will be installing Michelin MS2's with less than 100 miles when I get the new truck. So I will have a set of 6 brand new tires for sale. What is a fair price. I would guess they will be Nexen brand? With how poorly the POS Generals wore that came on current truck I am starting off right like they should have been from RAM!

Or they should have an option to upgrade with the Michelins from the factory. I mean charge me $300 more for better tires. I think they would find out that people would step up and pay.

I agree! These Nexen tires may be better than the POS Generals that came on my 11 but I don't want to take a chance.

Anyone have a idea what a fair price for the take offs are worth with around 100 miles from my new 15 Dually?

What city & state are you in??? I'll be ready for some new tires soon.....my "POS" General Ameri*Trac TR's on my 2014 are at 62k....but I do have an average of 5/32nds to 6/32nds remaining according to my tread depth gauge.

The last time I purchased tires from TireRack they just slapped shipping labels on the tires and sent them UPS or FedEx. No pallet required.
