I am new to the TDR forum and have read some great posts about the AirDog fuel filter system. One issue I have not found answers to involves purging the air from the system when you change the filters.

When you change filters on an AirDog, you lose fuel from the water separator and the fuel filter. Once the new filters are in place, how do those who use an AirDog system purge the air that has entered the fuel line? I bought the truck used and the AirDog bypasses the OEM filter. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

fill the new filters with fuel before install... . the pump will handle any air in the system.

I have the Dog II... . I have also dicconnect the quick release on the injector pump, if you can get a container down there fine..... if not use a big towel to catch fuel, then turn on your ignition and let it bleed out fuel a few seconds

I just spin them on and hit the key a few times and then start it. It will run funny for just a while then clears up and not a problem. I have allways felt that by pre filling that I might be adding curd into the filter
