BTW Guys,
I don't like asking 'dumb' questions but, I due occasionally drain off the water separator and if I'm thinking correctly diesel fuel will float on top of water?
Hence, when we unscrew the knob on the bottom of the water trap it begins to leak off fuel and once the knob is fully unscrewed the 'inner stem' drops down and I assume we are scavenging off the water at the bottom of the trap.
Doing this efficiently means doing this after the vehicle has been sitting static for a period of time such as in the morning before operating the vehicle. Therefore, allowing time for the water to separate and I assume settle to the bottom.
Guys... am I trying to make this too hard? Am I thinking correctly?
Also... you know... . I never see any water... . I'm thinking I don't know how to look at this. Am I lame?... or am I just lucky by purchasing good fuel all the time?
