$304 for a certified Cummins reman. That was an everyday ordinary price when I got mine.
guess I am used to City Diesels pricing.

I think you read that wrong , no mention of an actuator costing $2200 from bcbender .
yep... FWIH Turbo actuators are about 4k so if one goes out after the warranty expires its paid for in that one repair... I had a maxcare on my 04 and it paid for itself when the driver seat assy and the turbo were replaced... parts cost was about 2200$ and it cost me $100 (warranty back then cost me $1600) so from then on it was gravy for the front axle shaft, drive line, window master sw... If only those darn blend doors would've gone out under warranty.... but then they would've just broke again so I am glad I went with the steel ones.

That's what a friend did with his '07 5.9. $2700 went back into his pocket. Minor issues were fixed locally at a private shop.Mine is the 8yrs 125000. Max Care. It cost$3100. $100 deductible
If I never use it through the life of the term they will refund the cost of the max care.
That sucks!!!
Must be some kind of labor / mechanic issue...IMO.
My AS69RC rolled over 392k miles today.
Any carnage pics?
All stemming from a leaky gasket
That really stinks!
It certainly can....if the correct dealership personnel starts wrenching on one.Common, your making fun out of us.
The almighty Aisin never fails.

Parts friend said he was thankful this didn’t happen going thru the Siskiyou's in Northern CA. My gear selector was disabled and my EB was also. Could have been a wild ride! So I could have been freewheeling down a 6% grade at 35k combined. Plus having the WTF going thru my mind would have been a bit scary.

Sucks having problems. All the best for correct repair. Safe travels.Confirmed complete new trans and all parts associated with cooling. I will see what I can once they tear it down.
Based on his current luck....if it ain’t broke.....don’t fix it!!!!Ron, don't know if you've thought about having them change out rear main seal, but would be cheap insurance if you plan on keeping this truck.
Did that run last year. I only have maybe 8500lb but everyday I'm thankful for the EB. It makes everything easier. No gasser ever again as long we are west of the Rockies.
