Had a 2013 3500 DRW with 68RFE, now have a 2015 3500 DRW with the Aisin.
The 68fre (3.42 rear gear) exploded at 18,000 miles while towing a 16k lbs filth wheel. Dealer would not replace, only rebuild.
The 2015 (3.73 rear gear) with Aisin shifts dramatically different. 1st gear is a much lower ratio. It down shifts when slowing down where the 68rfe did not unless in tow/haul mode. The shifts are much more positive with a much quicker lockup.
