Bling-bling comes from urban rap/hip-hop. In showing off your success/wealth, you buy large showy rings, bracelets, and mostly large neck chains of gold and or silver. When you walk down the street, and the chains clang against each other, it according to one rapper made kind of a bling-bling sound, and from there the term grew to mean any jewelry, or anything else showy.



My wife calls the chrome/SS add-ons to the truck my bling-bling...
