After owning my truck for 15 yrs. ( 78,000mi) 94ctd 2wd loaded, i decided to put custom 8" x 16" aluminum alloys on and loose the generic stock dodge rim. I also switched to lt 265-75's instead of the stock 245's as they fill out the wheelwell nicer( this truck runs 4:10 gears). My ? is would i have to have it realigned switching to 8" rims over the 7's. The offset is very close to stock (tires are about flush with the fender lips) but i find if i let go of the wheel at about 55mph on a smooth highway with a normal crown for rain runoff , the trucks will slowly wander towards the left. I thought it should wander slightly to the right due to the road crown. Any advice is welcome----Steve. ---- 94ctd/2wd/BD fuel plate-605 tq/ 230hp/4" exhaust/flow-pro max muffler/ afe air filt/ firestone ride rite air bags/4:10 axle/ autometer gauges/pyro/boost/trans/KDP fixed/Trans lines upgraded/ amsoil througout. 16. 3 mpg pulling 10,000lb artic fox@ 60mph --high 20's and have gotten over 30mpg no load @60mph

Question? Did the truck run straight before the new tires?

If so I would swap the two front tires to see if the tires are the cause of the pull to the left.

I have on installed tires on various vehicles that caused mine to pull.

I would try this before an alignment, but it may be also be a good idea to align it weather or not this cures the problem.
