Those of you who have RVs & want ro make reservatios at Buckhorn--the phone # is 800-568-6458. Please let them know you are with the Cummins diesel group. I e-mailed some of the people who were involved with the Temple meet last year. Maybe they have ideas & suggestions. We will need to firn up plans quickly in order to reserve the BIG barn. Again, the purpose of the barn is shelter from rain or heat--it is air conditioned.

Jim, I think most of us from down here decided yesterday at our meet we are going to stay at the Guadalup river resort. Says in Wheelers magazine they have a 6,000 sq. ft. pavilion. seats 400. It also has cabins for rent for those that don't have a trailer to stay in. It is exit 505 then 2 1/3 mile south on fm 783 then 2 1/2 west on Junction hiway 27. There # is 1-800-582-1916. Is this the place you were thinking of? I took this info from the camping guide. It sounds pretty good to me. They have 250 sites all have elec,sewer and water. Some one else say something. I'm gonna call and get a spot or two one day this week.

Are we talking about Guadalupe River R. V or Buckhorn Park? Or are they the same? If they are two different parks, we need to be clear where we are going(or is it just me not clear?)so we all at the same place. I want to make reservations early as I may go down several days early.

These 2 parks are 10-15 minutes apart. Both have advantages/dis-advantages. Buckhorn has an air conditioned room large enough for quite afew trucks and many people, Quadalupe river has cabins. Both have pools, hot tubs, etc. IMHO we need to make adecision--I will go with the majority! Grandpappy I got your e-mail--& responded

Kerrville on the 16th & 17th sounds great. Am making reservation for 15th arrival and morn of 18th departure at Guadalupe River Resort. Have stayed there before and it was good. Like Grandpappy I am headed to cool country (Reno then Vegas via Denver). Looking forward to listening a lot and telling some lies.

I will be making reservations this PM. at Guadalupe river when I get home. (Tuesday) I will arrive on Friday, 15th,leave either sun. or monday. Makes more sense to me. Wedding at other place. I talked to Glen at Guadalupe River RV Resort this A. M. They have plenty of open spots now. Their pricing is as follows:
$26. 00 reg. ,$23. 40 Good Sam or $18. 50 with a contract of 10 rigs or more. If you folks that are coming will commit to me and I have 10 or more, I will do the contract. If you commit and don't show, guess who has to pay. If you make a reservation outside of the contract, you will have to pay one of the other prices. The contract would also insure that we are assigned spots as a group. All of their indoor meeting rooms are reserved for that weekend and all of their cabins also. Since I need to do this by this weekend, post your commitments here or e-mail me soon. Remember,I need 10 or more to get the contract rate and I will have to pay for those that commit and don't show. If you want me to proceed, let me know soon... ... Howard

I talked to Glen at Guadalupe River RV again today. Pets are O. K. ,leash law in effect. Folks with just a pickup and staying with someone with an RV pay $2. 00 per night. Those that want to sleep in their truck must rent a site. Also, Glen said you that are coming,go ahead and make your reservations,tell him you will be with LSTDR and if I get at least 10, he would roll your reservations over to the group rate. I still need 2 more to have 10...come on guys
& gals, let me know so we can get the group rate. Shoot me an e-mail and make your reservation. Remember, if I have you on the group list when I do the contract, we get sites together.
