6th Annual Hub City Mopar Fest - Belen,NM 6-16-01

NTPA in Georgetown, OH

I am going to attempt to post some directions here that everyone can understand.
For those coming from north of Austin:
1. If you want to miss all the Austin-San Antonio traffic, you can take Hwy. 29 west at Georgetown to Llano. At Llano, you hit Hwy. 16 and follow it south all the way through Fredericksburg to Kerrville. Take I-10 west 3 miles to exit 505(Harper Road). Go south on Harper Road to the 2nd stop light(Junction Hwy. ) Go right on Junction Hwy. 2. 6 miles to the RV Park on the left.
2. If you come on down to Austin, you can take Hwy. 290 west through Dripping Springs to Hwy. 281. Go south on 281 through Blanco. There is a rural road, FM473, 8. 5 miles south of the stop light in Blanco. If you follow this west, it comes out at Comfort on I-10 just 16 miles south of Kerrville. It is very hilly but a good road. I travel it twice a week. In Comfort at the stop sign, turn right and go about . 5 mile to I-10 entrance. Just go west to exit 505 and follow above directions.
3. If you don't want to use FM473, keep going south on Hwy. 281 to Hwy. 46. Take 46 west to Boerne at I-10 then west to Kerrville and follow directions above.
4. You can also hit Hwy. 46 at New Braunfels and go west to Boerne.
5. Or you can connect with I-10 in San Antonio.
6. For the guys coming from east of San Antonio, follow I-10 to FM 1604(Loop 1604). Take 1604 north to go around S. A. and connect with I-10. Follow directions above.
I am sure nobody is coming from the west and I don't know of anybody coming from south of S. A. but if there is, e-mail me and I can give you directions from Bandera.
Hope I covered everyone.
Phil

Houston Area TDR Members

We hope and pray that all the Houston area TDR members made it through Allison with minimal damages. The water got halfway up our front yard about 3:00 AM Saturday morning, but thankfully the rain stopped and the water receded. We just have a mess to clean up in the yard - so many others have lost all their physical possessions, so we're very fortunate. Our best wishes and thoughts go out to those affected.

We're heading out to Kerrville Friday morning, June 15th. If anyone wants to caravan over with us, let's meet at the Cracker Barrel on the south side of I-10 at the Barker-Cypress exit at 7:00 AM for breakfast - we'll try to park in the RV parking area and will be in the Driftwood 3500 pulling the Jayco Designer 3610XL 5th wheel. For those of you heading westbound on I-10, you'll have to go past Barker-Cypress to Fry Road and do a U-turn back eastbound on the service road - the Cracker Barrel is on the eastbound I-10 service road just before Barker-Cypress. Remember, though, since we're V-10 powered, we'll have to make a fuel stop somewhere along the way - maybe we can take up a collection to help us fill it up! :( :D :D

Water, water everywhere

Well, I dodged the bullet, no water in the house, I had a whole 5" left before taking on water. Bad news is two of the members from Pasadena that was coming to Kerrville did get water in their houses and will not be coming. Talked to the folks in Kerrville today and we still have about 12 rigs still coming and several without rigs. If no more problems come up, I plan on leaving here on Wed. about 8:30 A. M. , anyone else going then and want to travel with us, e-mail me and maybe we can get together... ... . Howard

Any of you guys with auto's interested in having the transmission guy come by and talk to you or answer questions about Bill K. 's TC and VB? He said he would be happy to come by if anyone was interested.

Hey Ya'll, I've rearranged my schedule (got a coworker to cover my shifts) so the wife and I will be coming out Saturday morning for the day and bringing a couple of other trucks with us. She told me no work, but I'll bring my tools anyway. Hopefully I will have a Edge Comp box in the truck. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
