Last night while heading west through an intersection, a southbound brand new minivan t-boned be going about 40 MPH and sent me head on into another car. No-one was injured in the crash, thank god. When all came to a halt, the dodge was still chugging in 3rd pushing the car in front of me. I got out and left it running I believe motor is fine. She hit me in the fron axle the swung around into the side of me. The front axel is pushed out towards drivers side about 1. 5ft everything under the front end is broke, dt trac bar, darin's stabilizer, axle, lift, Hadley's, etc... Everybody panel down passenger side is smashed, door won't open, both wheels are ruined. My girlfriend was supposed to be with me but wasn't and I am really glad. Get this, the black woman driver of the car I hit head on gets out and starts yelling obscenities at me about what had happened to her late 80's or early 90's pontiac 3000. LOL.

Glad to hear you are OK and there were no apparent injuries. Don't worry about the iron. If it's banged up that bad let the ins co take it. Now just think of the fun you will have building a new one!Oo.

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hate to say it, but it sounds like your baby is a total. :{

Glad nobody was hurt, and hope you can get another one to replace it!

wrecks suck [never been in one, never hope to be in one]... soccer mom's insurance should cover that, but will it cover all the extra's also [horns, lift, trackbar... ?]

The unpleasant part will be negotiating with the soccer mom's ins. co to cover the add-ons. Some will simply request a list of mods, look @ the truck and negotiate a value, others will let you take stuff off, the REALLY anal ones will demand reciepts for every add-on you want compensated for.

buy it back from the insurance company after they total it and have a complete (albeit banged up) parts truck for the next one! :D

glad everybody's alright!!! LMAO @ the lady *****ing about her pontiac.

Forrest

I would take everything off the truck that was an add on, that wasn't bent up. I bet the other ins. wont cover for any of the add ons. They are all cheap (at least in my experiences) Glad everyone was ok, thats the most important part. :) Don

Sorry about your problem. :( You had a nicely done 01. 5 judging from your signature.

It's like what the Predator said to Danny Glover "s--- happens" :{

Now, convert it into an opportunity

:eek:

No more suicide doors. No more suicide prone VP44. Starting with over 300 hp can't be bad Oo.

Find out what the truck is worth in the real world. Progressive tried to give me NADA when mine was totalled. That turned out to be less than 75% of what it could be replaced for. I had to get it subrogated by my insurance company. Good luck.

FIX OR REPLACE!

That's the rule they do not want the consumer to know about.

MARKET VALUE, NOT BOOK

Prepare for a fight. If you have to drag it our for a month, then so be it. Do not give in to their offer if it is less than what the actual worth is, even if they say "This is our final offer, take it or leave it. " Do your research now. Local Newspaper ads for the same model and mileage of your truck, both dealer and private party, find all the receipts for your after market stuff that you can, and copy the on-line ads for what you can't find. Make sure to include labor. If you did it yourself, you still get paid for it.

Glad to hear you're OK.

We presume that the soccer mom was the only one to get a ticket?

Dont know about which states do this but in California the Ins co has a set time limit by law to settle a claim, they have to do it. If you dont give in on your trucks value it would go to some other outside arbitration to determine true value. They will tell you all kinds of BS to get you to sign off so DONT DO IT if you arnt happy. They will prolly cave in after while and be fair when forced into it.

Wrecks suck

Can you say "Rental Truck"? If they jerk you around, just keep the rental until they make it right. That is how we got the wife`s car done right. DK.

also if you have a friend with a garage have your truck stored there storage fee's always speed up the negotiations with insurance company. glad you are ok.

Found out today from my insurance man that because the soccer mom was sited for running a red light, obviously her insurance has to pay and that they have to fix it to what it was before the accident or give me market value for truck and add ons. Believe me I won't give in to anything less. We own our own idustrial maintenance and light auto shop here in cincinnati and I had it towed here and it is locked behind our fence. I have pics to show but don't know how to do it. Here is a list of everything I have on the truck: Skyjacker 4. 5", Weld Mountain Crusher's and 35" BFG's, SS rocker panels, SS bug deflector, SS step bars, SS bed rail covers, Rhino liner, Clear corner lights, Euro Clear tailights, Weatherguard toolbox, Xenon fender flares, Billet grille, tinted windows, Rob Thomas traction bars, dt profab trac bar, Darin's steering stabilizer, full 5" ehaust and dual 5" stacks, DiPricol gauges, Edge Drag Comp, Mitchell injectors and turbo, Southbend clutch, Scotty II air, Alpine & MTX stereo, and I just got Wet Okole seat covers for christmas, I think that about does it LOL!!! My credit card loves me.

I sold my 96 3500 4x4 xcab to a good friend(in the past I would have NEVER sold anything I used :rolleyes: to anyone I knew) and he blacked out the other day and hit a telephone pole dead center. He did not have his seatbelt on-airbag saved his butt-and did not have any injuries. He was in the hospital for 4 days for tests to see why he blacked out. I went to his house to see the damage and it looked repairable. His insurance company wanted to total it but he had it towed to one of their repair shops and the estimate was $7200 to fix so the insuance company authorized it. When I saw the estimate the forgot the intercooler so I waited till they satrted work to point that out. He got truck back today just in time to see power company replacing pole broke in half 3 feet off of ground by his truck. :D

Glad to hear you are okay and good luck-the 04's are nice and looks like they are gonna be real hot rods with a few parts. :cool:
