I agree with you 100%, Wade! I owned a '79 regular cab and a '79 SuperCab, both 4x4's with swapped-in 460's. There is a member on these forums named Scot who lives in Texas. He is in the process of building up a truck just like you described. Hopefully he will see this post and give us an update.

I have been told that there is someone in Oregon running around in a '79 crew cab 4x4 with a B5. 9 in it.

I also think a Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 would be cool with a 4-banger Cummins in it.
