Could anyone tell me if it a Allison Auto Transmission has a transmission I could bolt in the place of my 6 spd. behind the might cummins? Would be a great combo!! :D

You should I know you can get the cummins powered Motorhomes with a Allison transmission. Maybe you could rob the computer from that setup Or Need to figure out how to let the cummins talk to the allison. Should bolt up but there might be a good amount of time to figure out the electronic side of it.

This is just my opinion, but I feel that, from personal experience with my friends' trucks, the light duty Allison that goes in the HD's is weak and not at all up to the task of hanging onto a Cummins, especially one with any modifications.

Not because I think the Cummins is so much more powerful than the DuraMax (though I do) its where the power is and how it comes on.

A medium duty or a slightly beefed up light duty Allison would be great, but I'd say have a DTT or SunCoast built for way less than the cost of making the Allison work would be the best route.
