Alternate paths to "Chat"?

Well, I like the new Setup,, and I kinda wish I would have stuck with my "Old Handle" But I like my New one.



Here's my problem,,

I went to the "chat" room and nobody was there, and I couldn't seem to get anything else on the "Chat" to work either. What I would like to know is. .



Is there ANYWAY I can get to the Chat room using a "Regular" Chat program. I personally like to use mIRC, anybody know how I could do this?

I know how to get to different chat rooms,, mainly what I need to know is, if there is a server name, and room name I can go to? or is the chat strictly Java.

IRC poses lots of security risks for servers hosting them. Trust me on this one, I've seen it first hand, especially with the file transfer capabilities IRC has.



The chat is strictly Java chat and reserved for TDR members only. The biggest reason you problably didn't see anyone is because we're still re-activating users and there aren't a bunch of re-activated users yet.



We gave the chat because so many asked for it but the membership is going to have to come together and agree upon times to meet up and chat. The ball, as they say, is in your court.

Where does one stumble accross the password?? I guess its supposed to be in the forum??? I haven't found it. Not I did accidently delete the e-mail they sent me letting me know I was back online. Was it in there??? Thanks

Check the Email sent to you by R. Patton when you reactivated your posting priveleges. That's where you'll find the password.

Is the chatserver down? It disconnected on me a few hours ago, and ever since, I can't get on. I get the Java-based chat window, but no acknowledgement of connection or anything.



I've closed the browser and re-opened it, and no change.

chat reliability

Yah, I've noticed Too, The chat sever is acting rather "Iffy" Sometimes working and sometimes not,, we had a rather nice Chat going, me RobG and a few other guys,, then I had to leave, and when I came back,, TADAA! No more workin'.



I am not very impressed with the unreliable chat server, but reaaly like all the work that is going into this site to get to it's new improved state.

You can check the announcement at the top of the TDR Website/Roundtable forum page regarding the password.

You can find the password for the members only stuff in the Website/Roundtable forum, at the top of the list of messages is an announcement - the username and password are there. That forum is only accessable by members.
