I know this is a long shot, but I think my belt jumping problem is a misalignment and not the tensioner. One of the things I changed on my motor when I got it was a reman alternator. After looking up the one I got on the partsamerica website, it lists probably 50 applications. If you look up a more expensive one, it only lists 90-93 trucks. I think its possible that the alternator I have may be offset slightly too far foward causing my belt to ride against the front of my fan pulley. I know remaned parts get thrown in one catagory sometimes over looking very minor differences, like steering boxes for our trucks. There are 4. 25 lock to lock and I think the other is 3. 5 lock to lock, but they don't list that as a difference when buyin one. So could one of y'all please post a picture of your alternator (original if possible) mounted on your truck so I can see if there is some kind of diffence. Thanks, Alex
