Temp. 17 deg. went out and started my truck. I drove the truck about 10 miles. My Alt. gage went to zero. Everything else was OK. Took the truck to the shop and dropped it of. They called about in two hours and said that they couldn't find anything wrong. Gage was reading about 14 volts. Anybody have any ideas?

Even in a constant loss scenario I don't think you'd pull the batteries down to zero in only 10 miles. Could it be that the heater grid relay was stuck closed?
