Aluminum front bumper

I was talking to a fella who knows a guy that ordered an aluminum bumper from a place in Canada for his Ford. He did't know the web addy, but said they had some nice stuff on there site. I guess they do alot of grill guards for the big trucks. Anyone know who he was talking about??

I saw an Aliarc bumper locally and was somewhat interested. Then, I saw another that had evidently hit a deer in the lower skirt area. It was pretty wrinkled up.

If I was going to buy an aluminum bumper my first choice would be the Ute, http://www.uteltd.com/ and then the DOR. The Ute didn't have a 3rd generation bumper when I was ready to buy. I just about bought a DOR but decided I liked the looks of the Buckstop bumper more. Layne at DOR is a really nice guy and does first class work. The Buckstop is a first class design and well built, too.

I have an AliArc on my truck. The under skirt is probably designed more for deflection than anything else. The bumper and bars make the bumper a real deer strainer... protection where protection is needed. If you do dent the deflector, doesn't cost much to get it fixed/straigthened.

About a year ago I emailed them looking for a bumper, they said they did not have a dealer in my area for pickup bumpers so they would ship one to my house in AK. Total cost was going to be around $750 for the pictured bumper.

Just about ever big semi truck you see in AK that has a big nasty bumper on it has an AliArc. I once has a guy tell me he could hit a full grown moose at 65 mph and not even touch the brakes. He says they just bounce off and go flying into the ditch... .
