Am I the first to order a Crew Cab Dually with rear air on the TDR?

Last night I struck a deal and placed an order with AutoNation in Seattle on a fully loaded RAM LongHorn Dually Crew Cab Aisin 4:10's with every option including rear air ride. Actually one option I chose not to order was auto dim and auto wipers. I need something to do! They were the exact same price as Dave Smith but their trade was better even considering their tax rate is .098 compared to my local rate of .083%. I was very pleased I lost 12K from purchase price to trade in price and have 55k on the clock tax not figured in.

Have to say the guy from Dave Smith was less than responsive. Very impressed so far with Trevor Fawcett the General Sales Manager at AutoNation.

Someone is going to get a great truck when they sell my trade in. Anyone near Seattle looking for a nice Dually in my sig PM me and I can let you know when it will be available. Only thing I am leaving on the truck is the B&W gooseneck hitch. I will have PacBrake airbags with in cab controls and air compressor and air horns and MagHytec trans pan possibly rear diff cover along with a 18K companion hitch for sale.

First thing I will do with the new beast will be remove the factory tires and install a set of MS2's, Bilstien's, install my Highway products tool box and a new B&W RVK 3600 to haul a new 2015/16 Mobile Suites 38' to be ordered soon.

Also my Son ordered a Limited 3500 SRW LB 4X4 Aisin with all the options.

The plan is for us both to be at May Madness!

Very nice and congrats! I'll follow this thread closely. You might be the first to order with air ride. Non have shipped yet. Look forward to a great review. Did you order crew or mega? I'm wanting to order, but I can't decide on a DRW or a SRW. That B&W hitch will be nice. Have one in my 2500 Hemi. I can't wait to get back into a CTD!

Why didn't your son go with a DRW? Hope they build your truck soon. Do you think the air ride will help with the ride?

Thanks!

I just added a few details to my post. It's a Crew Cab. My Son does not need a Dually, his has air ride also. His actually priced higher than mine. Don't really understand what is so expensive about the Limited?

I assume the air ride will be an improvement. I have to say I am very impressed with the ride of my current Dually. Blistien's helped!

So far I still am????

"Am I the first to order a Dually with rear air on the TDR?" "DUALLY"

Ah, yes indeed. I think you ordered my truck!! I'm just not sure I need a DRW. I want one, but do I "need" one? Never had one...worried about the wide hips and driving it around town when needed. I'm looking to upgrade my 32' fiver as well. I wouldn't go too big...maybe 36' at most.

What do you think? SRW or DRW? Either will be with new air ride and loaded. Just worried about 3.42 in SRW. I'll also order the AISIN.

Personally I don't have any problems with the dually. I always park away from others and I have parked in town without too much trouble.

There is no way I would tow my 36' MS with a 3500 SRW. Some of the lighter units would be fine. But if you are looking to full time you want a heavier duty RV. 3:42's IMHO are not a problem for the ratings of the 3500's. My current load is 29K with 3:42's and work quite well.

Can't hide money, that's for sure:-laf...Congrats...gotta shoot out some pics when you get the truck....What color? You'll love it:)

Thanks JIM!

The truck is the same as I have now. White with the lower gold paint. Same interior color.

The one thing I may not like is the top of the steering wheel won't be leather. Oh well!

When looking I test drove a Longhorn for a bit and that was an issue for me also, just felt a bit weird......but the flip side is that it will probably age better than the leather wheels and dirty, sweaty hands........

The top part of the steering wheel is real wood, took me about 30 mins to get use to it, and very easy to keep clean, and looks good:)....and, the whole steering wheel is heating, so that's a plus in the cold.

I thought I would never use the heated wheel on my 11 but with staying in the NW for two winters I am glad I have it now! The one thing I wish it had was an adjustable temp control. IMHO it get's pretty darn hot!

Well Ron, way to go! Sounds like you did it right. Did you get the sun roof! That is one thing I would NOT want!

As you know I have talked a while about doing this! Won't look like I did anything different to most since it's the same color! Seriously considered going with the same color as NC Hauler but white stays looking better in the rainy NW!

When ordering you have to be careful on whether you do or do not want the fancy stitching! Look closely at the pictures! Be sure you also say 4:10's or whatever you want or you will end up with 3:42's. Of course I went with the stitching and 4:10's!

Yes I did get the sunroof it really is something we have used a lot. No problems with it at all. When I get it the wife and I will come take you for a ride and get a bite!
