There are a bunch of 3500 air rides stacked up at the factory waiting inspection and final approval and many more in the pipe. For one, mine.

Mine was ordered Nov 11 and is the status of being rescheduled for build. They have been taking orders since Oct.

We all wait impatiently. Once it's built it takes a month to be delivered the NE.

Ah, yes indeed. I think you ordered my truck!! I'm just not sure I need a DRW. I want one, but do I "need" one? Never had one...worried about the wide hips and driving it around town when needed. I'm looking to upgrade my 32' fiver as well. I wouldn't go too big...maybe 36' at most.

What do you think? SRW or DRW? Either will be with new air ride and loaded. Just worried about 3.42 in SRW. I'll also order the AISIN.

He didn't order your truck HorseMan-AR, your truck would come with a Hemi!!!!! Stop sneaking in on our fun here on the these Cummins sites! :-laf:-laf:-lafLOL K D

Looks like you beat me to it! Can't wait to hear what your impressions of the Rear air ride is. Just hope i don't regret the first year blues.

Anyone have the auto wipers and auto dim option? Auto dim would be okay but wondering about the auto wipers????

I do but it never rains here so...........Actually, I have them turned off so do not know how well they work, I turn them on myself....old dog, no new tricks. One thing though, for some reason, if you get them, you can't have the cargo/ 3rd brake light camera, you just get the tailgate camera.

Sam

Mine ordered 10-8-14. Mega Cab, Laramie Longhorn, Rear Air Suspension, Dual Alternators (440 amps), Plain Cattle Tan Interior, Mono Tone Paint, Dually, 3:73 gears, Aisin, 5th wheel prep, Cargo View Camera...........

Auto High Beam & Rain sense wipers are not available with cargo view camera.

As of 11-18 it's in a MX prison! (storage-JS) Dealer was not given an answer why.

12-2 Dealer was told: "Waiting on a fuel tank" of all things.
Ya, my first thought was the cartel stuffing the tank with dope & shipping it up here to the states! The only humor I can muster right now!!

A side note: I can't get my VIN to enter into http://www.ramtrucks.com/hostc/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=

Sooooo, Don't get you hopes up! I'll be super happy to get it for Christmas!!

Thanks guys on the auto wiper info. I tried today to get the option added but they said "It will not let me modify the order. Sorry about that."

So I am happy because I do want the cargo camera! The will be great when hitching the 5er!

Hope they have things sorted out so mine will go thru the flow like it's supposed to.

OK, OK, I messed up. I should have never ordered that 6.4 Hemi. You guys told me so...he ordered my truck, because it'll be my next one, Ken. I'm just trying to spread the love over here on TDR...I can't seem to stay away from you and Greg!

I'm having a real hard time deciding on the SRW 3500 or the DRW 3500...any suggestions? Never owned a DRW, so I might not know what I'm missing.

I can tell you if you want to tow a large 5er a Dually is the way to go. 29K combined load in all weather conditions my 11 Dually has been rock solid! Honestly I have to look at the foliage to see if the wind is blowing. If you want to feel like you are just driving a truck only and not constantly feeling the RV behind you the Dually is the way to go.

Will I regret the wide fenders at banks and drive thrus? And no car washes? I know I want the 3500 SRW with AISIN, but not sure about DRW since I've never owned one. I'll order with air ride. Concerned about ride and comfort when driving empty as well. Send more thoughts!!! Thanks again.

I'd go with the dually. I have on my last two trucks. I only pull a 12K tow behind RV, but it is like night and day difference. Yes you must think about where you are going to park it here on the east coast, but, I can always find a spot. Car washes are done by hand with long handled Ajust-a-Brush. My 2013 empty rides better that my 1997 2500 did empty. You have to buy 6 tires every 50-60K miles instead of 4 is the only draw back in my book. But a dually will allow you to tow any RV out there except for maybe a $200K New Horizons. My thoughts. Ken Irwin

I wasn't sure I wanted a dually last spring pulling our 35' camper/toy hauler to TX & back during a blizzard in Colo-fornia.
When the winds picked up to 22 mph, gusting to 35 my mind was made up!

Thanks for the comments, Ken. Wow, 12k is all you tow. Have you considered the 6.4 Hemi...gotcha there, right?!!!

This one time really impressed me concerning the Dually's solid footprint.

We were traveling from Palm Springs to Phoenix on I-10 heading East. The winds were coming from the SW hitting the passenger side at 45mph. When we arrived the guy driving the 40' motorhome was a bit frazzled and commented how he fought the whole time to keep the MH in the lane. Then I told him how solid our ride was. Later he started asking me about the Dually and the RV thinking about buying a combo.

As they say until you have towed with a Dually ya just don't know!

Sometimes it's inconvenient but the solid towing experience way out weighs that!

Yeah you got me, but with a 1000 lb Onan QD and 1000 lb 98 gallon Transfer Flow, and 1600 tongue weight, I run out of GVWR fast. Needed the 12K on my 2003 and now have 14K to play with on my 2013. What's the GVWR on you Hemi truck? Besides I can't get RustyJC to give me his new trailer to put a load on my truck! See if you can talk him into it will yah? LOL Ken Irwin

Might as well put that gen-set on the camper & hook-up the 5th wheel prep! :-laf

Any regrets on the 85 Ramcharger Cummins conversion?? I have an '88 RC.
