fuel pressure...not

I've put about 250 miles on additive. Used in VW TDI, 12 valve, and Kubota. Most miles on VW (250). Start up smoke almost eilimanated, engine is quieter (if thats possible), can't tell about mileage, yet-I'll need to return to Ft. Wayne before filling. Twelve valve seems a lot quieter; don't know about smoke--somewhat overfueled - will need more miles on this tank of fuel. Met Gary-very interesting person, extremely knowledgeable. Pretty nice having something like this in your backyard.

Hemi...

could you ask Gary another question? There was a long discussion about Duralt about 3 months ago. Such a minimal amount of it was needed that I am wondering how it worked to achieved the improvement in fuel mileage. Perhaps Amalgamated could shed some light there.

1 gal size??

I would be willing to give this stuff a try if I could get it in a smaller quantity than 5 gal. With the little amount out driving I do a gallon would do me good for about 10 months (not sure what the shelf life of an open 5 gal pail is, but I estimate it would take me 3 to 4 years to use it). Plus I would like to only purchase a small amount to compare with the Amsoil Diesel fuel concentrate and cetane boost I've been using for the last few years.

Anyone willing to sell me a gallon???

On shelf life:

Gary said he is hesitant to say it would last forever. Said most it would do is separate; just have to shake it to remix.

Maybe someone should ask Gary if he could bring a truckload of the stuff to Thunder in Muncie. It's not far from Ft. Wayne, and I bet he could sell a lot of it. :D

I would be glad to bring some to thunder. I'll be there Sat. I definately want commitments if I am going to put out my own funds. Price would be 50+2. 50 sales tax. I would have to know by Thurs am so I can call Gary and reserve the amount. If there isn't enough it would be sold by time and date on personal email.

I do not work for Amalgamated, nor will I profit from sale-strictly transportation.

Steve C,

I didn't get any MPG gain from Duralt when I tried it. I didn't notice any difference anywhere. Maybe it works better with Gasoline?

1tuffram,

I think somebody will sell you a gallon. If I was closer I would. I can picture the gallon jug leaking or breaking in transit, with no data anywhere on what it is, with my name as the shipper. :D

Guys,

Post your thoughts on what you think of Amalgamated's additive when you try it. I am waiting for my tank to empty before I mix it.

If I found someone willing to sell me a gallon I was thinking of tring to find a place which sells 1 gallon metal cans (the kind which solvents, etc come in) or maybe go to Wal Mart and get one of those plastic red gas cans. Guess I would need to contact Amalgamated to see if the stuff is compatible with standard metal cans or the plastic gas containers.

With the Duralt I haven't noticed any fuel mileage increase at all, and I've run about 1800 gallons of Duralt treated fuel thru our two 3500's. Hopefully it's at least putting some lube in the fuel.

I have noticed an increase in mileage in my PT Cruiser, so I guess it does help out the gassers. Went from 26 to 28 mpg in that. banger.

Haven't tried this stuff yet, have to wait for my bulk tank to empty first. About 800 more gallons of Duralt treated fuel left in it.

I'm curious to see how this stuff turns out,

I'm up for a bucket

JHahn, I am coming to Muncie on Friday, and would take a 5 gallon bucket for that price. I will bring my cash:D

Would one of you ask them what they would charge to ship a bucket of it to Alaska (area code 99504).

John

Has anyone found a pump that will work on the Amalgamated 5 gal cans? If so, would you please provide a part# and phone #/website?

Thanks!:D

DEZLPWR

The pump I got from Mcmaster/Carr does not work either. :D How the hell did I think the jug has 2" NPT bung? Who knows what thread a screw on lid has?

A decent pump is a must. If you try to pour it more will end up on the ground then in the bottle.

I used a cheap little bellows siphon pump the first time. Didn't work good at all.

JFitzgerald.....

What part of IL are you? Would be willing to split one with you. Was thinking about using the PS from F&F but haven't looked at what they have to offer yet. But the article in the TDR mag got me pointed towards AM.

Just let me know what you think...
