Question regarding Superlift sway bar end links

fuel pressure...not

Well tonight I just used my Mighty-Vac pump, took awhile to fill my qt size container since the Mighty-Vac collection bottle only holds 4 oz. Since I don't go through fuel very fast anymore, this system will work for me, though less than desirable. I'll start looking for the kerosene pump on Sunday or Monday, and if I don't find anything guess I'll stick with the Mighty-Vac method.

PS: Is this Amalgamated additve suppose to be cloudy/murky looking???

I noticed a battery operated kerosene pump advertised in my latest "The Sportsman's Guide"... a discount outfit that sells all sorts of stuff... cheap. The pump is listed as a cooking oil filter pump, is battery operated with two D-cell batteries, includes a filtering device, all for $26. 97. The part number is: CX3P-61663. The part number/information for extra filters (if interested): CX3P-61664 6-pack of replacement filters $3. 47.

The advertisement for the above is on page 24 of their latest catalog.

BTW they can be reached at:

www.sportsmansguide.com

or 1-800-888-3006

They state in their catalog they are open 24/7

WHERE'S THE MILEAGE?????

OK All this sounds good. But i haven't seen a post on here that say's we got X Miles More per Gallon..... How about it guy's ???? Lets see some TRUE Results. I know it is good when your running in the COLD WINTER, WE Don't want to GEL UP... RIGHT?? Surely some of you have Kept some records on the Mileage?? Will you Share it on HERE???? Thanks... ... . Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

radar doctor, I mainly purchased my Amalgamated DFA for the fuel lubrication aspects as well as fuel system cleanliness attributes... anything else would just be icing on the cake!

BTW, I have used a quality DFA since 3K mi. in my Ram at EVERY fill-up.

Like radar doctor, I'd like to hear some mpg results. For now, I'm using Stanadyne and/or John Deere DFA's depending on where I can get them. I use DFA on every fillup year-round, hoping the lube and cleanliness aspects will keep my VE pump going like the Energizer bunny. Oo. :D

Rotella DFA

I just bought a Case of this stuff at SAMS, I just looked on a gallon of it and it says it increases by 3 numbers, I don't know if that CETAIN they are talking about. I think next time i'll try the other stuff but come on guy's lets report on the mileage on this stuff. If you need lubercation drop 8 oz of 2 cycle lawnmower oil in it. . :D

Did we ever find out if there was a discount on shipping if we order more than one can? I would be willing to purchase more at a time if there was. This question was posted on Feb. 20, 2003 and I still dont see an answer. I think several of us would be interested.

I don't have any fuel milage data at present. I just added the Amalgamated to my current tank. Maybe it's my imagination, but after only 45 miles of use I am seeing less smoke from the tailpipe. Have not noted any smoother or quieter operation. Before the Amalgamated I was using Amsoil Diesel Fuel Concentrate and Cetane Boost at max recommended dosing in every tank for the past several years.

For what it's worth to anyone, when I talked to Gary he said he would be willing to test (at his cost) anyones current diesel fuel additives and report the results, so you could compare the "real" results to label claims and also see how it stacks up to the Amalgamated product. The TDR article did not include any test results of Amsoil, but Gary said his testing shown Amsoil's label claims are exagerated.

When I get some mileage numbers I'll report back.

Does anybody want the 3-ring book Gary from Amalgamated sent me? 8 Chapters. Intro, supplement, Cetane, Detergent, Fuel Efficiency, Winterization, Stability, and other. Hours of great reading. I can ship N/C.

Hemi,

How much did the book cost and how old is the material??

PS: your PM mailbox is full.

New idea for transfer pump

I've seem to come up empty handed in finding a decent pump to transfer the additive into smaller containers. Today I tried one of those $3 Wal-Mart "siphon pumps" you can find next to the gas containers (basically it is a bulb with tubing on each end, you pump the bulb to start the siphon process). It was kind of messy, leaked a little where the tubing connects to the bulb, and was slow.

So I got to wondering why not give a Carter lift pump which has lost it's useful life to fuel our Cummins a go at a second life. I'm thinking that a "weak" (not dead) lift pump may have enough ooomph to transfer the fuel additive from the 5 gal cans into smaller containers. When I was at Harbor Freight tools I saw a cheap ($9) 12v trickle battery charger which may work as a power source for the lift pump. Anyone have an weak lift pump you'd be willing to part with? I know most folks keep thier weak lift pump for a spare, but hoping maybe someone had multiple ones laying around and would be willing to part with one.

Tuffram,

Gary sent it to me free last June '02. After I read the article in the TDR I emailed him for some more info. He would probably send you one if you asked.
